The Tuck Family

Samuel Tuck, son of Samuel Tuck and Ann Luffman was born on the 22 September 1827 in Rimton, Somersetshire, England. On the 6 February 1851 Samuel married Tamar Prestland at Raymond Terrace, New South Wales. Tamar was born on the 24 September 1830 at Croyden Cambridgeshire, England. They had sixteen children.

1. Mary Ann, born 21 April 1852.
2. Emily, born 5 June 1853. She died on the 17 July 1853, aged 3 weeks.
3. John, born 17 June 1854. He died on the 16 February 1883.
4. James, born 9 August 1855.
5. Henry, born 11 March 1857. He died on the 26 December 1862.
6. Emily Susan born on the 21 November 1858. She married William Blanch in 1877.
7. Rhoda born on the 10 April 1860.
8. Alice born on the 31 August 1861.
9. William Henry born on the 24 April 1863. He died on the 30 July 1880.
10. Elizabeth born on the 14 April 1865. Married William Johnson.
11. Alfred was born on the 11 September 1866. He died on the 20 February 1883.
12. Jane was born on the 28 November 1867. Married Jack Preece, 1903.
13. Anne was born on the 11 June 1870. Died 1883.
14. Ada Ellen ws born on the 18 November 1871. Married William Brokenshire in 1893. Ada died in 1947.
15. Jessica born on the 3 July 1873. Married John (Jack) Crawford 1889.
16. Eliza was born on the 17 April 1875. She died on the 14 April 1877, aged two years.

Samuel died on the 20 November 1895 at Glen Oak near Clarence Town, New South Wales. Tamar died on the 18 June 1913 at Clarence Town, New South Wales. They are both buried at Clarence Town.

James married Alice Blanch on the 17 August 1882 at Wallsend, New South Wales. They had nine children, plus they fostered their nephew.

1. Jane Elizabeth was born on the 22 July 1883 at Vacy, New South Wales. She Married Patrick Michael O'Neill.
2. Stella Ellen was born on the 6 December 1884 at Vacy, New South Wales. She married H. Evans. Stella died in 1934 in Sydney, New South Wales.
3. Ada Alice was born on the 28 April 1886 at Vacy, New South Wales. She married Thomas Walter Gilbert.
4. Herbert George was born on the 27 September 188. He married Naomi Gilbert. Herbert died on the 6 January 1970 at Woodburn, New South Wales.
5. Lavinia May was born on the 7 May 1889 at Vacy, New South Wales. She married twice. First to H. Petit and second to John Miller. Lavinia died on the 14 October 1972 in Sydney, New South Wales.
6. Verlie Evelyn was born on the 5 February 1893 at Vacy, New South Wales. She married George Frederick Nicholson. Verlie died on the 5 Septenber 1966 at Bankstown, New South Wales.
7. Vacy Agnes was born on the 23 July 1895 at Vacy, New South Wales. She married twice. First to J. Donnelly and second to Magnus. Vacy died on the 24 April 1979 in Sydney, New South Wales.
8. Doris Vivienne was born on the 18 June 1898 at Glen Oak, New South Wales. She married Christopher Hamlet McWilliams in 1921. Doris died on the 18 September 1980 at Turramurra, New South Wales.
9. Reginald Gordon(nephew) was born on the 19 November 1889. He married Lillian Blanch on the 4 October 1911. Reginald died on the 22 April 1956.
